Are you aware that in every 100 Filipino students, 10 are suffering from bad eyesight? Yup, This is the alarming statistics of students having difficulties learning and achieving their tasks in school. This is the same reason why Essilor Phils., leader in ophthalmic lenses, partnered with universal heartthrob, Piolo Pascual, in yet another advocacy geared at providing free eye check-ups and free prescription eyeglasses to help 10,000 senior high school pursue their education and eventually a better chance to succeed in life.

The advocacy of Essilor Phils was officially launched and was unveiled last July 18, 2017 at Rizal High School, which has been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest secondary school in the world, by having licensed eye health professional discuss the importance of healthy vision.

As Piolo Pascual believes, "Education plays a huge role in the future of these young Filipinos, and poor eyesight will only hinder their progress in learning. By giving them thorough eye check-ups and access to free prescription eyeglasses, they will no longer struggle with vision problems in their lessons, allowing their natural intelligence to shine through."

Eye Can Succeed advocacy campaign was attended by Essilor senior leaders led by Dr. Emelita Roleda (Essilor Phils General Manager), Dr. Kyle Galias (Commercial Manager), Jinky Navo (Essilor Phils Marketing Manager) and Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan Minister of environment as Guest if Honor.

Let's Face It Facial Review

I've been really wanting to try the services of Let's Face It but never really had the chance in the past. Good thing I was able to really plan it out today and really insert having a facial session at Let's Face It.

How's my experience? Continue reading...

Let's Face It Facial Treatment

Red Laser

I availed for the typical facial cleaning (PHP 245.00) plus whitening mask. All in all both treatments cost PHP 695.00

After 2 minutes of waiting, my name was called and I was ushered to lie down. As I surveyed the room, I noticed that we looked like a factory of people being serviced. We were provably 15 - 18 people inside. It's just odd that I can hear people whispering. I noticed that the whispers are coming from the therapist trying to have a rapport with their clients and trying to make small talks. It's just a turn-off for me.

Then my therapist started talking to me and started analyzing my skin. She keeps on insisting I do a certain treatment that would require me to pay PHP 650 more. I told her that I will try her suggestion the next time. She touches my skin here and there and suggested again that I go for the treatment she mentioned 5 minutes ago. This is really starting to be irritating that's why I stopped reacting to her AT ALL. I think my therapist noticed it and started with the procedure.

The After Effect of Facial and Whitening Mud Pack

THE TREATMENT

  • They first clean your skin and soft massages your face and neck for about 5 - 10 minutes
  • They cover your eyes and explain to you that she will start do face  steaming. This is around 10 - 15 minutes
  • Therapist removes your eye patch and starts cleaning your face again with warm towel
  • Then the pain starts! Pricking starts! They do this to your entire face and neck (around 10 minutes)
  • After which they place a white net and starts to use the usual red laser (I don't know the name)
  • Then lastly, they place the cold white mud pack to your face (whitening). They leave this in for 10 - 15 minutes
Overall, the treatment is okay for the amount I paid. These are just some of the must-improve aspects I can suggest to Let's Face It:

  • Place looks so dirty and undone. They need to invest more on the ambiance and "feel". Overall aesthetic is FAIL.
  • Customer service of front desk is also FAIL. Not a moment did I feel special. Instead, I felt rushed in terms of the service I received. To think there's not much people at the clinic when I got in.
  • Therapist needs training on how to react to customers properly. When I asked my therapist, "Miss easy lang sa prick ha. Wag masakit" (Miss, go easy on the pricking. Don't make it painful). Her reply to me was, "Sir, masakit talaga to. Tiis na lang" (It's really painful. Just bear it!) This is the first time I heard this comment before the procedure. What ever happened to consoling the customer? hahaha
  •  Their ceiling looks creepy and looks like part of a horror booth

Baby Products I Love!

Yes, you are still tuned in to my blog, Fierce Blogs, and you are not reading a mommy blog. The reason why I am showcasing these products is because (1) I really use them (2) they really work (3) and they are very affordable.

Baby Products

To give you more details why I love these products, here's why...

There are many reasons why I love this product! Well, it's not because I have a kid or something (hehe) but because of these reasons:

Belo Baby
  • I love putting on powder when I go to sleep. It's been a habit I had ever since. For the longest time I have been using the common and popular baby powder. But after trying Belo Baby talc-free, I have switched ever since
  • I love Belo Baby Talc-Free Powder because it is made from certified natural and finely milled rice and maize. It has no TALC (this has become a major issue as of late since studies are linking talc to respiratory problems), and it is carefully formulated without gluten, phthalates, parabens, dyes, and most common allergens.
  • Scent is not over powering, just right.
  • The puff is already included (really a plus!)
  • The packaging si really cute and very lovable!
  • Very affordable at PHP219.75

Giggles Baby Wipes

Some of my friends  find  it odd that I love removing my make-up using baby wipes instead of the proper make-up remover. Actually, I have reason why...

Giggles Baby Wipes
  • Baby wipes are mild and doesn't contain alcohol. I love how it cleanses my face (when I am so lazy to wash  at night LOL)
  • It doesn't not contain hard scent; which is a must for me.
  • 1 wipe goes a long way on cleaning your face and many more
  • Love how you can really close and seal the product. it doesn't dry up.
