New Bombay, The Columns

Share
I have always loved Indian Food but visiting them can sometimes be a challenge! This is true because it is difficult to find people who has the appetite to gallop a cuisine that is extensive in using Indian spices, herbs, vegetable and fruits. Especially, if your orientation in food is very Filipino - somewhat sweet, fatty or oily. As I always say, either you are a sucker for Indian food or you totally despise just its aroma.

Oh well, I belong to the suckers (joke not implied)! That's why when it was presented last night that there's a chance to eat at New Bombay at The Columns, I didn't waste any time. Back then when the resto was still in Dela Costa Makati, I used to frequent the place along with my Indian foodie friend, Jojo.

Unfortunately, I was not ready to take photos last night. Thus, I ended up having crappy pictures.

Chicken Sheekh Kebab

We ordered quite a hefty meal last night:
  • Toasted Papadum (Water thin disk of seasoned wheatflour roasted in a tandoor oven)
  • Mutton Kadai (Mutton cook in spinach gravy)
  • Chicken Curry (Boneless mutton cooked in coconut and Indian spices -South Indian Style)
  • Chicken Sheekh Kebab (Chef special minced chicken skewes with onion, bell pepper, mild green chills and fresh herbs spices)
  • Chicken Tandoor
Chicken Hyberabadi
If you think the meals are expensive here, they're not! It ranges from Php250.00 - Php300.00 per head.
