Albert Martinez is the latest Belo Endorser. His billboard is out and the veteran actor is parading his six-pack abs to everyone! He sure does look hot for a 50-year old guy!

This is the photo that never made it to the billboard.

‘2nd Elements National Singing & Songwriting Camp’

It's now down to the final call for entries for 7101 Music Nation’s much awaited and highly anticipated “2nd ELEMENTS National Singing and Songwriting Camp.”

7101 Music Nation is the brainchild of three music aficionados namely its Artistic Director, Maestro Ryan Cayabyab; its Chief Executive Officer, established businessman Julio D. Sy, Jr.; and its Chief Operating Officer, music industry maven Twinky Lagdameo. The goal of the company is to build platforms that will gather Filipino artists and musicians and promote the sharing of ideas and talents to further uplift Filipino musicality and artistry. The ELEMENTS National Songwriting Camp is the group’s pilot project and it should be noted that after successfully hosting the Camp for songwriters last year, a new track has been added this time to include singers.

Ebe Dancel on ‘2nd Elements National Singing & Songwriting Camp’

Recording artist and singer Ebe Dancel who recently released “Dalawang Mukha Ng Pag-ibig,” his maiden full-length album as a solo artist under Warner Music Philippines says that “Elements National Singing and Songwriting Camp” is a once in a lifetime event that every aspiring singer and songwriter should be a part of, “Aspiring singers and songwriters should apply because people like Ryan Cayabyab, Gary Valenciano, and Gary Granada...they want the proverbial torch to burn bright when its passed on to them [the aspiring singers and songwriters].”

Dabcel who wrote all the 10 tracks of his current CD including its carrier single “Muli” also explains that the camp is an opportunity for aspiring singers and songwriters to bond and learn from the mentors “What makes this camp different from other camps is that campers can get to hang out with Noel Cabangon and Jay Durias for instance and share a table with them, there’s a lot of interaction. They will surely learn a lot from the mentors and it’s really fun!”

The camp is open to all aspiring singers ages 18 to 25 and all aspiring songwriters ages 18 to 35 who are citizens and residents of the Philippines.

There is a limited number of slots for each track and a select group of established and highly respected singers and songwriters shall screen and audition the participants for the singing and songwriting slots. A total of 30 singers and 30 songwriters will be chosen to join this year’s Camp which takes place in Dumaguete, Negros Oriental from Nov 6 to 10.

Here's how to join:

  • Applicants for the songwriting track must submit an .mp3 of an original composition, lyrics to the uploaded song, and a two-minute video answering the question why they should be accepted to the Camp. The video should also include footage of the song being performed by themselves or with a guest singer.
  • Applicants for the singing track, on the other hand, must submit a video of themselves singing an original Filipino song plus and also a two-minute video answering the question why they should be accepted to the Camp. The song must be performed a capella. No entries with instrumentation or a band will be considered.
  • The videos must be 5-10mb and in any one of these formats: .mp4, .avi, or .mov. Each applicant can only apply once as either as a singer or as a songwriter. They cannot apply for both tracks.
  • The application process is solely online and interested applicants may visit www.7101musicnation.com.ph. Deadline for application is August 31.
The five-day camp will include workshops, lectures, talks, one-on-one consultations, group collaborations and presentations, etc. under the tutelage of some of the country’s top Artists including Ryan Cayabyab, Joey Ayala, Gary Valenciano, Jett Pangan, Noel Cabangon, Jim Paredes, Gabby Alipe of Urbandub, Ebe Dancel, Jungee Marcelo, Raimund Marasigan, Gary Granada, Jed Madela, Dulce, Jimmy Antiporda, Angeli Valenciano, and Jay Durias, among many others!

Rexona Men - Won't Let You Down

I don't know about you; but if you are still using tawas at this age and time... Get outta here!

Rexona deodorant has been in the market for quite sometime already. I remember that this was the first deo I was given as a growing boy. Years have passed and the habit is till alive. After a quick bathe, Rexona is the first thing I apply. It's not heavy , dries quickly and most of all it gives you a fresh scent all day long.

My personal favorite of all the scent is from the Rexona Special Edition which is the Adventure scent. Next to it is V8. I guess their colors have something a lot to do about my personal choice. I just love colors and I am not afraid of them!

Normally, I choose an anti-perspirant since I sweat a lot. At least it reduces the flow of sweat the whole day. You have to make sure what works best for you. Either deodorant or anti-perspirant.

To know more about the difference, you can read more here.

Here are some photos Rexona Men Absolute Protection collection:

Chubby's Rib Shack Review

I've been hearing about Chubby's Rib Shack from colleagues and friends; and how nice their food is. Finally, I have the chance to visit them tonight at their Dela Rosa Stree Branch.

Chubby RibShack Logo
On Ambiance

I find the chopped wood interesting and new in terms of concept and design. This for me is the focal point of the diner - extremely eye-catching and sets the mood on what to expect inside. While I understand that their concept is Traditional American food, it doesn't mean that the customers should also be drilled inside the diner. Air-conditioning was really bad during our visit. This was a major turn off!

Service

No issue and complain about this. The order taking was pleasant and our food was delivered fast enough. Nothing so extra-ordinary in the field, 'though.

The first thing I asked was, "What is you bestseller here?"

"Sir, Shack Special B." The lady replied with a shy smile.

I quickly checked her recommendation on the menu and went for it. While waiting for our food to be delivered, I browse thru the menu and took a photo so you can check. Chubby Rib Shack's food entree ranges from Barbecue, Burgers, Diner Food and Classic American Food.

Food

My order arrived after 10 minutes - decent amount of time in terms of waiting for your order.

Shacks Specials B (Pulled Pork on Texas Garlic Bread) was served together with their Southern Iced Tea and Honky Tonk Rice. I actually enjoy how the food was presented. The pulled pork was placed atop a thick toasted pan. If you are wondering what's a pulled pork, this is usually the cut of pork coming from the shoulder. It is cooked slowly under low fire and meat becomes tender that the tissue allow the meat to be broken in smaller pieces.

Grilled Fish w/ Salsa Ranchero - Chubby's Rib Shack
I was a surprise that the pulled pork comes with rice (didn't notice from the menu). The combination of the Honky Tonk Rice and the Pulled Pork is a bit to much for my taste. It was an outburst of flavor and herbs overload. I immediately dropped the rice and went on to try the pork and pan alone. This combination is perfection for me. With the crumb absorbing much of the sauce of the pulled pork, it was a match made in heaven.

The Southern Iced Tea is ok. It has the right amount of sweetness but missing on the minty taste.

We also tried their Champion Buffalo Wings, The Rookie version. Well, we should have probably went for the Firehouse Classic since The Rookie doesn't sting much.

Location

Chubby's Rib Shack is at the Ground Floor of Solaris One Building, Dela Rosa Street, Makati City.

Men's Boxer Shorts 101

Share
The most common fashion paux pas is to wear your boxer short outside wearing nothing on top of it! Unless you really go out wearing your underwear, there is no way you should be wearing boxer shorts outside the privacy of your room.

I'm sure at some point you have seen guys roaming around the village or the nearest grocery store wearing a cotton shirt and a boxer shorts. Don't you feel odd about it? Even though we have an influx of male models wearing nothing but underwear, guys should not mimic this behavior in their daily wardrobe.

If you think this is already odd, wait until you see guys wearing 2 underwear at the same time - briefs + boxers shorts.Talk about underwear redundancy!

Boxer Shorts
For the most fashionable and comfortable underwear, only trust Bench/ Body.

Rachelle Ann Go - Make Up Or Mess Up?

Share I was watching some TV last Sunday and saw this. At first, I thought I saw a guy dressed in drag - in a bad taste that is!

Rachelle Ann Go

Rachelle Ann Go
I used to like Rachelle's simplicity. But boy! This time around she's gone wild and messed up. She doesn't have to wear that much make up, I think. Not to mention those lines on her nose that can stab you to death!

Not so fierce!
