I remember growing up and seeing my Granny frantically put charcoal all over the house. She likes placing them inside a rusty, old mug and put them in every corner known to household. I had no idea what she was doing at that time. I thought they were home for the ants or some form of ancient voodoo. It was crazy, I thought back then.

it sure is a pretty way to deodorize a room using charcoal. btw, do you know the scientific reason why charcoal absorbs odor? thanks for the tips..now i don't have to put charcoal in my rusty mugs i placed all over our house(and our maid will stop accusing me of practicing voodoo, too);-)
