Dad’s in Glorietta 3 – Not Just Lousy but Also Insensitive to Their Paying Customers

Share

I attended a Kiddie Party last Sunday, August 30, 2009. I know, I know, kid’s party was never my scene – but when it’s for close and dear friends, I would be more than happy to join.

The invite says, 3:00pm and of course I am a few minutes late. Shame on me! I was greeted by the mom of the celebrant, Ivy - who looked stressed the moment I saw her. I wonder why? It’s supposed to be the birthday celebration of her youngest daughter, Eli. Instead she was all over the place – looking worried and upset.

So what’s the deal? Fierce Blogs will tell you what happened…

3:00pm of August 30, 2009 was supposed to be the joint birthday party of Eli and Jacob. Instead it turned out to be a celebration of unfortunate events led by lack of planning and proper etiquette from the venue – Dad’s Glorietta 3 – Member of Triple V Group of Companies.

The party started 15 minutes late as agreed. Why? Because there was a prior event that Dad’s management could not handle properly. They allowed the prior group to take their time. Probably because they have a more expensive contract compared to my friend’s merienda (snack) package? Or just plain lack of better judgment?

The 15-minute late service could probably be forgotten if they have provided what they have promised. Instead the joint birthday celebration of Eli and Jacob started with undone seats and tables. Not to mention the lack of balloons in the venue which by the way were paid by the parents.

If you think this was it? Think again! Dad’s even had the audacity to close the buffet at exactly 5pm when in fact they were 15 minutes late. Talk about rip off!

I wonder how was the food they served that day tasted. Is it as sour as their service that day was? They’re lucky I was full that day and didn’t bother to eat. I tried their iced tea though which tasted like yesterday’s iced lemonade. Double yuck to that!

The message of Fierce Blogs to Dad’s is rather simple. Treat your customers well and you’ll have more of them coming back. Please give real value to our hard-earned money instead of a lousy service you even had to rush!

Fierce Blogs sent an email to glorietta@vvvfood.com and will let you know if they will reply.

thanks for posting this, eric. just to add to this, i've been hosting parties every year for my kids in different venues that i never repeat...and this is the worst so far.
to dad's, if you feel that a package of cheaper price deserves lower service levels than others, then scrap your party packages and just offer what you intend to serve better...the sad thing is i know i paid more in terms of amenities because the baptismal amenities are cheaper but that party before us just had a grand reception and the time of their life.
i had more guests, therefore more prospective customers to impress...yet maybe dads felt that since i got a cheaper buffet, i would also have cheaper guests...tsk tsk...you just lost a lot of customers (if you look at how many guest kids I had who could be celebrating with you)...plus..i had a blogger friend!

Way to go Eric!

I don't know what exactly is the appeal of Dad's. Yeah, they have a wide food selection, but everything else is bad. The waiters tend to gather around the big-time customers and forget everyone else. The utensils are badly chipped and scratched that you'll think you're in a carinderia.

Hi to all!

I suggest to boycot all of the branches of these restaurants including saisaki and kamayan.

We are the suppliers of those restos pero di kami binabayaran sa invoice na na-order nila. Could you imagine, 5,000 pesos weekly babayad sa'yo out of half million, sana wag agad sila ma-karma bukas na...

Hi, i agree with you. i also had a bad experience sa sa 2 branches ng DADS. 1st sa Glorietta 3, service is not really good pero sa marketing side nila as in ok talaga habang nagpapa reserve ako. SM Megamall branch naman nila ay grabe talga BOBO yung mga waiters n andun as in hirap maka relate sa knila. i dont know panu cla nag hire ng mga ganun waiter... i will never come back mas ok talaga ang CABALEN Glorietta, in my opinion lng ha...

So disgusting to the management. Probably they did not know that the best way of advertisement is through the mouth of customers passing to the others. They should know that every customer must be treated equally regardless of the amount they paid. I'm a fan of Dad's since I love buffet, but knowing this incident, I should think twice in visiting them.

Food is great kaso...Poor Customer Service @ Dad's Glorietta... Also, Mag ingat kayo using your credit card...kaya pala super tagal nila binalik credit card ko..almost 30 mins.. kasi may anomaly pala ginagawa employee/cashier nila..NA COPY NA PALA CREDIT CARD ko...coz the ff day i received confirmation sms from a credit card company about the 3 online transactions under my name..transactions which i never availed. I also confirmed na meron talagang gumagawa ng ganito using special gadgets... magkakasabwat silang mga waiters at cashiers!!! TO THE MANAGEMENT OF DAD'S GLORIETTA....nakakatakot ng bumalik sa inyo..PLS WATCH OUT YOUR EMPLOYEES!!!!!!!!!!!!
